1st cruise-Mar '13-Bahamas. Arrive 1 day early (Sat 3/23) at MCO. Shuttle to Hampton Inn @ airport. I understand we must shuttle back to MCO for Disney Transport to port. Where & when do we need to arrive @ MCO (Sun 3/24) for 11:30 port arrival time?

Welcome aboard, Jeanette! I think it's a great idea to arrive a day before your cruise. This ensures that should you run into any travel delays at the airports, you'll still have plenty of time before your cruise departs.

When you head back to the Orlando airport on the morning of your cruise, ask to be dropped off at the terminal near Disney's Magical Express, as that is where the cruise check-in desk is. You'll bring your luggage with the Disney Cruise Line luggage tags you've been provided. The nice thing about heading to the ship from the airport is that you check in for your cruise at the airport, and usually get an earlier boarding number than if you were to wait and check in at the port.

The first Disney transportation to Port Canaveral leaves the airport at 10:00 a.m. Expect to travel for 45 minutes to an hour to reach the port. So, if you arrive at the airport at 9:30 or 10:00, you can easily check-in, send your luggage off, and board the Disney transportation. Don't worry if you've been assigned an 11:30 port arrival time and you're not there at the exact time. That is just an estimate. I promise they won't turn you away if you're a little early or a bit later than that.

Once at the port, take some time to relax, get a photo with Mickey near the ship's model in the middle of the terminal, and check out the observation deck off to the right, when facing the ship. Then get ready to sail with Disney Cruise Line for the most magical vacation you can imagine!

If you have any other questions before you sail, Jeanette, please let me know!
    Happy cruising!
