Never cruised before so, how are the decks numbered? If I want a Royal Suite or a Navigators Room with verandah, how do I now what room number to request? I want an ocean view.

    Hi Kathy,

The decks on Disney Cruise Line ships are numbered from the bottom up.  The more expensive rooms are typically on the higher decks.  You can see a detailed deck plan for all of the Disney cruise ships in the back of the Disney Cruise Line brochures available from your local AAA office or any Disney-savvy travel agent who books cruises with DCL.  Many travel agents have these deck plans available on-line.  Just google Disney Dream deck plan and voila!

When I booked my recent voyage on the Disney Dream, I noticed that there is a large variety of guest accommodations on this magical ship and most of the staterooms have an ocean view.  Only the inside staterooms lack an actual view of the ocean.  Some would say, however, that these staterooms have something even better.  On this new, state-of-the-art ship, the inside staterooms have magical portholes that offer real-time views of the boat's surroundings, plus a little extra Disney magic.  Every so often, a beloved Disney character swims by the virtual porthole, making this a real treat for passengers.

After looking at the variety of staterooms available on the Disney Cruise Line website, just let your local travel agent know what kind of room you have selected.  They will book that accommodation for you.  You don't need to worry about having a specific stateroom number on hand to request.  It's really quite easy.

Best wishes to you as you book your first magical Disney cruise!  Let us know if we can help you with any additional questions.
