We have our cruise planned in October. Yay! We plan on taking a red eye flight the night before, which arrives at 5:15am. What is the best way to get to Port Canaveral from MCO that early? Also how early can we board the ship?

Welcome aboard, Ashley! I can tell you're already excited for your fall adventure with Captain Mickey and his crew! From the moment I book my Disney cruise until I'm walking onto the ship, I'm giddy with excitement!

The very best way to transition from land to sea and back again is by letting Disney do the driving. I highly suggest booking Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral and back again. You can call the agents at Disney Cruise Line to add these to your reservation. You'll then receive luggage tags in the mail which you'll attach to your bags before you check them in at your home airport. Then, wave goodbye, because you won't even have to get them at the Orlando airport. Disney's Cast Members will grab them and they'll be waiting for you at your stateroom later that afternoon. How magical!

Since the first of the motorcoaches doesn't leave the airport for the port until around 9:30 in the morning, you'll have a bit of time to relax, unwind, grab breakfast, and check out a few shops before it's time to leave for the port. Once you arrive at Port Canaveral, you'll check in and then receive a boarding number. It can vary, but boarding usually begins around 11:30. Once your boarding number is called, it's time to make your way onto the ship and let the magical adventure begin!

Have such fun counting down the days until you set sail, Ashley. I love the countdown on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, so you might want to use that too! Plus, you'll want that app available once you're onboard so you can access maps, schedules of activities, and a fun free texting feature to keep in touch with your family around the ship.

Stop back again if we can help with anything before you set sail!
