What are the crowds generally like the week and weekend after Thanksgiving? (Mon-Thurs / Fri - Sun)

Hi, Sally! I have a secret for you - this is a FANTASTIC week to visit Walt Disney World Resort! With so many families planning their vacations based on their children's school schedules, this means the week after Thanksgiving is usually significantly less crowded. I do want to encourage you to make FastPass+ selections for each day you plan to visit the parks, despite the lower anticipated crowds. This can help you ensure you visit your must-do attractions, and anything else you experience will be the icing on top of a Disney day where the magic is endless!

There are many holiday events going on that week that I would love for you to enjoy. Our favorite holiday tradition is to visit the Epcot Holidays Around the World event. Costumed storytellers in each World Showcase Pavilion tell about their holiday customs, while Holiday Food and Beverage Marketplaces offer many treats. I can't wait to stop by Germany for some glüwein and in France for buche de Noel au chocolat! To top off your holiday, end your evening with the Candlelight Processional, which will be narrated that week by Neal Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, and Edward James Olmos.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be underway at Magic Kingdom Park. Attending this jubilant evening does require a separate ticket, so be sure to purchase one as soon as possible if you would like to dance in the snow along Main Street, U.S.A.

Sally, please stop by again if you have other questions for us! We would love to help you find more ways to make your holiday extra special!

Hi, I'm Brandy, a speech pathologist and busy driver of daughters to marching band and dance events. My Annual Pass is used often to check out new Disney must-dos and resort changes. I enjoy giving advice about itinerary and FastPass+ planning, Epcot's fantastic festivals, Memory Maker, and transportation at the Resort. The time I spend at Walt Disney World Resort is distinctive because it is the one place I can forget other responsibilities and focus on having the time of my life with my family!
