How are the crowds in April? I'm trying to decide if I should take my 8 year old daughter for her Spring Break the first week of April. We've only been in the fall and I'm not sure if it's going to be too crowded for our liking.

    Hi Meg,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  You are very wise to consider the crowd levels when planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Early April is historically one of the more crowded times of the year due to Spring Break. You can anticipate the parks to be very busy the week before and after Easter. If you have your heart set on traveling this April, you can still have a good time by planning ahead and keeping in mind that you may not be able to experience everything. Be sure to book Advanced Dining Reservations for Table-Service restaurants in advance. I would also utilize Disney FastPass+ service.  Even when traveling during busier times of the year, my family has been able to enjoy many of our favorite attractions by arriving at park opening. It's amazing how many attractions you can experience during that first hour or two. That being said, if you are really concerned about the crowd levels and your travel dates are flexible, then you may want to consider choosing another time for your visit.

I hope this information helps in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Meg!

    Happy Planning,
