How crowded is it the week of Christmas?

Hi there, Scott! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and allowing us to answer your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

The holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are among the most magical of the year! During this period of time, the entire property is transformed into a winter wonderland unlike any other and fills even the grumpiest person with joy!

This, of course, tends to draw quite a crowd to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Generally, the week of Christmas tends to be one of the busier weeks at Walt Disney World Resort but it is definitively manageable with a bit of pre-planning.

As a natural early riser, I tend to plan on arriving early to the theme parks during my own vacations! Often, the theme parks are at their least busy during the first parts of the morning. My number one recommendation is to pair Extra Magic Hours with your FastPass+ reservations! This means, I always make FastPass+ reservations at the park that has early morning Extra Magic Hours. This way, I can experience a few attractions during the Extra Magic Hours and then move onto the attractions I've prescheduled with my FastPass+ reservations.

My second tip would be to know what time special entertainment offerings are taking place! There are many different seasonal opportunities across Walt Disney World Resort so you are going to want to plan which ones you will be experiencing prior to your arrival. This way, you can plan on arriving early and reserving your perfect viewing spot!

Hopefully, this information will assist you in planning the perfect holiday vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
