    Nathan from FL Asked

What will the crowd levels be this upcoming Easter/Passover weekend in April?

Hello Nathan! Predicting crowd levels at Walt Disney World Resort is not an exact science, and is often a matter of perception. A day that seems to be moderately crowded to some may feel extremely busy to others. In general, holidays and times of the year when schools are not in session tend to be a bit busier. While many schools and colleges hold Spring Break in March, others have Spring Break near Easter. In my experience, I would expect the weeks before and after Easter to be somewhat busier than the rest of the month. That being said, I don't concern myself with predicted crowd levels. I plan my days as if the Theme Parks will be extremely busy, and if they are not, I can be pleasantly surprised. Armed with a good plan, I always have a wonderful time!

The great news is during busier times of year, the Theme Parks tend to have longer hours. I just checked Park Hours near Easter and I see Magic Kingdom Park is open many days from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight, with Extra Magic Hours on some days at 7:00 am! My strategy is to arrive at the parks very early. You'll find crowds quite light during the first few hours. I then plan to take a long break in the middle of the day (when crowds are highest) for a quiet meal and perhaps a nap and some pool time before returning to the parks in the evening. You'll see crowds diminish throughout the evening, especially after any evening spectaculars.

During your visit, stop by the outdoor kitchens at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival for some unique and beautiful snacks. Also keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding any special events for Easter.

    Enjoy your visit!
