Courtney, thanks for you answer. I'd like your help also for planning the days on each park. My husband and I have 2 children (5 and 12) and we will be 23 days in Orlando. In you opinion, which would be the best way to spend these days on the parks? Thanks

    Hi, Clarissa!

Thanks for visiting me again. I bet your family is getting excited about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort!

There are lots of attractions in each of the four theme parks even your youngest will be able to ride with you. If there’s no minimum height requirement posted at an attraction, he or she can definitely ride it. I recommend that you check out the interactive attractions list online to see exactly what your 5-year-old will likely be tall enough to ride.

The best advice I can give you for visiting the theme parks is to have a touring plan in mind before you arrive. Make time for everyone to look at the Walt Disney World Resort website, particularly the attractions list, together. See what each park has to offer and let the kids create wish lists. You may find that there’s more overlap in their interests than you anticipated in spite of their age difference, and it’s a great way to get a jump on the planning and excitement. Most importantly, each child will feel like his or her desires were worked into the family’s schedule, which will make for smoother days in the parks. When it comes time to make your FASTPASS+ selections, it will be a breeze!

Since you’ll be visiting for a few weeks, you should have plenty of time to see and do everything on your list at a leisurely pace. Don’t forget the importance of building downtime into your schedule to rest and spend time enjoying your resort hotel’s amenities! I recommend making any dining reservations as soon as possible (180 days prior to your visit) so you have the best pick of your desired locations and times.

I hope this helps, Clarissa, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
