We have a couples only trip planned. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge with a savannah view. We have always stayed at monorail resorts, Nervous about buses since we will be at parks a lot. Any tips? Don't want to waste time waiting.

    Hi Jill!

Thanks for coming by to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for an incredible trip to Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fantastic Disney Resort hotel that combines incredible theming, tasty dining options and beautiful accommodations. I recently back from a weekend trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with several friends and we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. In my experience, the complimentary resort transportation buses at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge work out pretty well for your vacation transportation. Buses generally run every 20 minutes, so I recommend that you allow one hour transportation time when you are traveling to theme parks or Disney Springs to allow for bus wait times, travel and traffic.

The thing that will help you the most when using the buses is the new feature on the My Disney Experience Mobile App that will give you arrival times for buses at your home Disney Resort hotel. This feature will be a huge help during their vacation because you will be able to see how soon the buses are coming and you can minimize the chance of just missing one! Also, if you are ever in a hurry or would like to cut down your transportation time, be sure to take advantage of the Minnie Van Service, which will give you direct and private transportation around Walt Disney World Resort.

Let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
