Can I take a cooler with bottled water and snacks inside Disney World?

Hi, Shelby, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you stay cool with a refreshing beverage on a warm Disney day!

There are so many things to love about the Walt Disney World Resort, but one of my favorite things is the fact that they're so Guest-friendly when it comes to allowing us to tote along our own drinks and snacks. I've seen families bring entire meals with them into the Parks and enjoy their homemade lunch near Main Street, U.S.A, with a perfect view of Cinderella Castle.

So, yes, you can absolutely bring your own bottled water and snacks with you into the Theme Parks. Here are a few things to know in advance. Your cooler can't be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high, and it can't be pulled behind you. Your best bet is a small, soft-sided cooler with a shoulder strap that you can carry with you. Also, you can't bring in glass containers other than baby food jars, and of course, no alcoholic beverages. There are some other guidelines for what you can bring along on the Park Rules & Regulations page, so be sure to check those out before you pack up.

Shelby, you can save a little room in your cooler if you like by requesting free cups of ice water at most quick-service dining locations.

I hope this helps you slay your thirst and keep the munchies at bay, Shelby! Please feel free to stop by again if you have any more questions.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
