We're considering a 4 or 5 nt cruise in 2015. We like the idea of fewer crowds & a better itinerary on Wonder, but Dream sounds fantastic since it's such a new & innovative ship. Will we be missing out on fantastic ship amenities if we bo

    Ahoy, Staci!

There are lots of things to consider when choosing a Disney Cruise: When do you want to cruise? What ports would you like to visit? Which ship do you choose, and for how many nights?

Our first consideration when choosing an itinerary is WHEN to cruise. With a high-schooler and a middle-schooler, we have to plan around the school calendar over anything else.

Our second factor is WHERE to cruise. Once we know what dates we have to choose from, we look at the ports the ships will depart from and where the port stops will be. Then we look at the list of Port Adventures  available to see what sparks our interest!

Those two factors will narrow down our choices of ships. Honestly, there's no wrong choice when choosing a Disney ship for your voyage! All four ships are incredible, and there are Disney details that make each one special. The Dream and Fantasy are the newest additions to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Magic recently underwent a makeover, and the Wonder is just as gorgeous as ever. Our first Disney Cruise was on the Wonder, so it's near and dear to my heart. Since then, we've sailed on Disney Dream more than any of the other ships, mostly due to the itineraries fitting in with our schedules.

You absolutely won't be "missing out" by choosing one ship over the other. Every guest on every ship is made to feel like a VIP from the moment they step onboard. You'll have a magical experience no matter which ship you choose! Here's the good news: once you sail with Disney Cruise Line, you'll be ready to book your next adventure. Re-booking onboard offers significant savings on a future sailing. You can always choose a different ship for your next cruise! If I were you, I would book the itinerary that you consider "better". You'll have an amazing time when you sail with Disney Cruise Line, no matter the ship!

Hope this helps! - Diane W.
