Can I consent for my 9 yr old to be able to go to participate in the Edge? The oceaneers lab and club aren't as much fun for her being she's use to being around older children and is more outgoing then most nine yr olds.

    Hi Shirley,

I completely understand what you mean.  Disney Cruise Line's youth clubs recently changed their age requirements.  Edge, is now for kids ages 11 through 14.   With your daughter being 9 the two year age gap might hold her back from joining Edge.  I would take her to Edge on the day of embarkation and speak with the youth counselors there.  Many times they will make allowances; if they are able to.  For example, the club may already be full.  I know that they do try to accommodate these types of requests.  Please keep in mind that at Edge, the kids are free to check themselves in and out of the club whenever they choose.

I hope it works out for her.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel Shirley.  Have a magical sailing!
