I am confused as to how the Memory Maker works. Is it connected to our Magicbands and we simply scan the band as we get on a ride and a photo/video is taken of us? Do we have to take our own photos?? I can't find a thorough explanation of this.

Hello Ron and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with such an important question!

Memory Maker is a product that you can purchase that will allow you to download all of your photos captured by Disney PhotoPass® Photographers during your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. It is connected to your My Disney Experience account. I love it because it allows everyone in my travel party to share our wonderful vacation photos. It also allows me to edit, crop and add amazing borders and stickers to my photos to enhance them.

You will want to make sure everyone in your travel party is linked to your “Family and Friends List” in the My Disney Experience app. You also want to make sure they are sharing “My PhotoPass Photos” with you so you will not miss one magical moment captured on camera. Disney PhotoPass Photographers are just about everywhere in the Walt Disney World Resort. You can also find a few of them at select dining experiences too. After they take your photo they will scan your MagicBand to upload the photos to your account. Through the magic of Disney, you will find a few rides and attractions will capture a photo or video as well. You can download these images from your Memory Maker account to share with friends and family.

Be sure to purchase your Memory Maker at least three days before your arrival so you won’t miss out on capturing every image so it can be treasured for years to come.

    Say cheese,
    Andrea
