We are very concerned about our trip coming up Dec 27- Jan 1st. We are worried that the parks will be too crowded to park hop also how willthe weather be that week

I have to be honest -- it will be crowded, probably the busiest week of the entire year. I can't encourage you enough to arrive at the parks early; the first couple of hours can make the difference. Also, try to take advantage of as many fast passes as you can &make certain to get them early, especially for the popular rides. Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios & Soarin' at Epcot are two that often run out of fast passes & have HUGE waits year long. They would be on my list of first things to get when arriving at those parks. We've also found that Epcot, especially the World Showcase, is great for handling larger crowds with its size. As for park hoping, the one park that seems to close more frequently because of reaching capacity is the Magic Kingdom, so again try to get to it early and do as much as you can. If the crowds become too much, you can escape over to any of the nearby resorts for a break. The Grand Floridian is stunning at Christmas as well as the Wilderness Lodge. And it is super easy to get to Epcot from the Magic Kingdom by taking the monorail.

Finally, if you'd like to turn to the experts for help on making the most of your days by knowing the best order of visiting attractions, I'd suggest visiting; it is a well-researched site filled with advice and itineraries to help make the most of your days. You can also see what the wait times for attractions were the previous year, which may help in knowing how to prioritize your must-sees, too. The site does have a small charge, but one I find well worth it.

December weather in Florida can be different year to year. The average temp is 62 degrees, but I'd encourage you to begin checking prior to your trip. We've had some cold trips and we've had warm trips in December.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel; please let us know if we can help again. And have a magical trip!
