Is there Any compensation for families with autistic kids visiting Disney World?

    Hello, Denise!

As a mom to a son with special needs, I have found Disney Parks strives to help families, and have a system to accommodate those Guests, including those with non-apparent disabilities.

A Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder: This 23-page booklet is filled with information about planning, transportation and accessibility. You will also find a chart detailing sensory information for attractions at the four theme parks.

Disability Access Service (DAS): The DAS provides a virtual wait time allowing Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue, an alternate wait experience. These Guests are welcome to wait in a quiet area, experience another attraction or do a little shopping. When it is time to return, Guests will have a limited wait time before experiencing the attraction. To request this service visit any theme park Guest Relations, and let the Cast Member know your family member's needs so that the best advice can be given based on your family's situation. DAS will be linked to your theme park media and valid for the length of your visit and at all four theme parks.

Complimentary FastPass+ Service: With your theme park admission you will be able to schedule three FastPass+ experiences per park per day via your My Disney Experience account. Guests staying on property can begin scheduling 60 days prior to the vacation, while other Guests can begin 30 days prior.

My space is limited, but please let me know if I can further explain DAS or answer other questions you may have.
