How do we communicate food allergies to the chefs when dinning at WDW restaurants?

Hello Kristen! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

There is no better vacation destination for accommodating food and dietary needs than Walt Disney World Resort. Cast Members and Chefs go above and beyond every single time to ensure that the Guests needs are met.

My wife has a mild food allergy and by merely inquiring if a specific entrée at Sanaa Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village, the server invited the head chef to our table to discuss the levels and options for the meal. The dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort take dietary and nutritional needs very seriously.

When you book an Advanced Dining Reservations through the My Disney Experience account, you will be provided the option of selecting any food related allergies or sensitivities that you may be concerned about during your meal. That information is connected to your Advanced Dining Reservations and relayed to the Hostess when you check-in for your reservation.

In addition, I recommend mentioning it to your server as a reminder and they will inform you about the items on the menu that might be a concern or invite a chef to discuss the menu with you.

This personal touch to accommodating the needs of their Guests is yet another example of the Endless Magic that set a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation apart.

    Bon Appétit!
