Hi! We will be coming in 6/8/12 for a week- 2 adults & 4 kids. 3 girls ages 7, 4, & 3 and a boy age 2. This is our first trip and am a bit overwhelmed! What are the must see/do things while there? We'll be staying 5 minutes away. Thanks!

    Hi Nathan:

It's ok to feel a bit overwhelmed.  The good news is that there are some great Disney vacation planning tools available right on Walt Disney World's website. My first piece of advice is to order the Disney Vacation Planning DVD, which will give you an overview of Disney World's four amazing theme parks, two incredible water parks and more than 20 magnificent Disney Resort hotels. Remember to think about dining and make your reservations up to 180 days in advance. If your children loves Mickey, a character meal at Chef Mickey's will be a wonderful treat. You should also check out Disney's in depth planning page for traveling with little ones.

While only a portion of the many Magic Kingdom attractions your family may enjoy, our family always enjoys it's a small world, Jungle Cruise, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Pirate's of the Caribbean, Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, Haunted Mansion, and Monster's, Inc. Laugh Floor. At Epcot, my family always takes in Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Turtle Talk with Crush, the Seas with Nemo & Friends, the attractions inside the Innoventions pavilions (my boys are currently obsessed with The Great Piggy Bank Adventure), and the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure. We also tour the countries of World Showcase. Our must-dos at Hollywood Studios include Toy Story Mania, Star Tours and Muppet Vision 3-D. At Animal Kingdom, our family always rides the Kilimanjaro Safari and visits Conservation Station.

Of course, every family is different, and to have a successful trip, you will have to take your children's likes, dislikes, and comfort-level into account.
