We are coming to WDW the week of 8/11/13. I have read that the monorail does not run during extra magic hrs to The Magic Kingdom. How will we (incl autistic son) get back to The Polynesian if we stay at TMK for the addition extra magic hrs?

Hi there John and congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!  The monorail for The Magic Kingdom and Epcot  does stop running one hour after regular park closing time so it is not available to use for evening Extra Magic Hours.  This was put into place last summer to allow more time for maintenance at night to ensure guest safety.  The ferryboat from the Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center as well as the water taxi to the Polynesian will both be running during Extra Magic Hours.  Buses may also be added  and are typically shared between The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian, guests staying at the Contemporary will use the walkway.  Please let me know John if there are any more questions.
Best Wishes for a Magical Vacation!
