We will be coming to WDW in Oct. and want to take our two boys to the Sci-fi Dine-in Theater. When trying to make a reservation the times are booked for when we will be there. Are you able to do a walk-in for this venue?

    Hi there Lewis,

Hollywood Studios' Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is such a cool experience!  You feel as though you've stepped into the 1950's to enjoy a meal under the night's sky as nostalgic scenes from black and white sci-fi films flash across the big screen!  Because this place is SO cool, it is also extremely popular, so reservations are highly suggested!

That said, Lewis, I have been able to grab a "walk up" reservation both times I've tried.  Once, I was able snag a seat in one of the coveted, vintage automobile tables... and the other, I had to opt for one of the umbrella tables located towards the back of the theater.  While the cars are really enhance the experience, the views from the umbrella tables are still great!

It's best to try to arrive early, before the lunch rush, or after the peak hours which are usually between 11:30 and 1:30 PM.  At the time you arrive, the cast member at the podium will let you know if there is availability and you will probably be asked to wait in the vicinity until your name is called!  If I remember correctly, it seems that I had to wait about 20-30 minutes on each occasion!

Best of luck for an eerie Sci-Fi adventure,

    Amanda F.
