We are coming to WDW in May and would like to see the Fantasmic show. We saw it before in Disneyland and totally loved it. I have a 2 year old--what are your opinions on the show for a child of this age? I know it has some slightly scary parts.

    Hi Susan,

I must say, this is one of my favorite shows and I had first seen it in Disneyland as well.  My daughter was 3 years old and did get quite scared watching certain parts of it in Disneyland, but when we saw it in Disney World she was a little older and it seemed not so scary.  The Fantasmic show in Walt Disney World is also quite different in my opinion to Disneyland.  At WDW, you are sitting in a very large amphitheater and there is a lot more character performances during this show and sitting so far away compared to Disneyland where the show is right across from you on the street, this does lessen the scary factor for those amazing water animation parts with the villains.  I think you are one step ahead having seen Fantasmic in Disneyland and you know your 2 year old best and how she reacts to certain sounds and sights, so I would use my own judgement to make a decision here and you can always take her for a little walk during the parts she may not like too much.  It is an easy place to get up and walk away if need be.......on one last note, I think this is a fantastic show and I can't get enough of it myself!!!!

    Have a magical trip!
