Coming to WDW in June, 2016 with my 3 grandkids, ages 4, 6 & 7. Because it gets dark so late in June, I'm afraid they won't last until dark more than once. So, which of the fireworks displays would you recommend for their age if we can only c

Hi there, John! What a fun trip you have planned for your grandkids. Let's help you end your Disney day with a bang!

As I write this, the nighttime spectaculars at Walt Disney World Resort are Illumninations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot; Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios; and the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at the Magic Kingdom Park. They're all amazing, but if you can only see one, I'd choose Wishes every time. The magical setting of the Magic Kingdom, with Cinderella Castle in the background, makes for a truly unforgettable experience. And be sure to get there a few minutes early so you can also see Celebrate the Magic, a breathtaking show that uses the castle as a canvas for a colorful celebration of Disney animation.

One thing to note, Disney's Animal Kingdom will debut its new nighttime show, Rivers of Light, next spring. I'd probably stick with my recommendation of Wishes, but I am looking forward to this new experience, too!

I hope this helps in your planning, John. Wishing your family a magical vacation.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
