We are coming to WDW for my husband's conference. Kids and I will get a 7 day ticket, my husband is only available a few evenings & the weekend so I was thinking a 4 day for him. With the new pricing his 4 day would expire before we leave. Advice?

    Hi Jamie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A lot of us are still learning how the new Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Tickets price structuring works as it was newly introduced within the last month. This is my first time really studying the fine details, but it's actually kind of like a fun puzzle. Here's what I have for you:

Your arrival date of March 30 is a Saturday, and you said that you're getting 7-day tickets for you and your children. I'm not sure of all of your travel dates, times and other plans, but if you all focus on visiting the theme parks starting on Sunday, March 31, both your four-day ticket and the seven-day tickets will be valid through Saturday, April 6. My family likes to take it easy on our travel days, and instead of attempting to get to a theme park our first night in town, we usually head over to Disney Springs to enjoy a leisurely meal, shop a bit, and turn in early so we can get an early start on our first full Disney Day.

Another thought is to increase the number of days on just your husbands ticket, which will extend it's validity dates. Even if he won't be able to join you in the parks for an extra days or evening, if he redeems his first day on Saturday the 30th, a five-day ticket would be valid until Saturday the 6th and a six-day ticket would allow admission until Sunday the 7th. The best part is to extend the date of his ticket by adding an extra day or two is less than $25 to go from a four-day to a five-day ticket and under $35 to go from a four to a six-day. (And that's with both the Park Hopper option or the 'One Park Per Day' ticket.)

Keep playing around with the 'Select Number of Days' circles on the 'Choose Your Ticket' page, and the blue box below the calendar will update the newest price and valid-through dates.

We'll See You in 2019, Jamie!
