    Hi Diana,

I think Mickey's Backyard BBQ a hidden gem for families with young children, and am guessing your kids will love it!  My boys (ages 5 and 7) have gone several times, and we literally have to drag them off the dance floor to eat a bite of food.  Mickey's Backyard BBQ is one of Disney's fantastic Dinner Shows.  It is held at the Fort Wilderness Campground in a giant outdoor, covered pavillion. At the BBQ, a country western band gets the crowd going, and then some of Disney's biggest celebrities (i.e., Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip & Dale) hit the dance floor in western garb and boogie with the audience throughout night.  You'll see tons kids of all ages cutting a rug with their Disney pals.  Dinner here includes "picnic food" such as baked chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans, watermelon and ice cream.  Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages are also included with your ticket.

The BBQ offers unprecedented access to the characters in my opinion.  I have adorable pictures of my kids holding hands and dancing alongside their favorite Disney characters.  After the BBQ, you can head down to the beach at Ford Wilderness and end your perfect Disney day by watching Wishes from the shore.

    Have a magical evening!
