We are coming to WDW for 4 days with our 3 y.o. We are thinking about spending 3 nights in the Magic Kingdom and 1 night in the Animal Kingdom hotels, but wondered if the transfer would be difficult as she still needs a 2 hour afternoon nap?

    Hi Joan:

I may have just answered a similar question for you.  Transferring Resorts is a relatively easy event and should not be difficult, however, it could impact your three year old's nap time.  For example, I have two boys, ages 5 and 4, who have been traveling to Walt Disney World since they were infants.  We transferred Resorts during one of our vacations, and due to a mix up, when we tried to check into the second Resort, our Room was not clean and we had to wait in the lobby for a clean room.  This was during nap time for our youngest, and while he rested a bit in his stroller, it would have been preferable to have been inside of the Resort room.  He bounced back quickly, and it wasn't the end of the world, just a mild inconvenience.  If you transfer Resorts with a child who still naps, I would try to make sure you have a stroller where your young one can relax in case your Room is not ready at the second Resort.  I would carry a small bag with you with essentials as well as snacks or other distractions in case there is a wait to check into your Room.

    Enjoy your vacation.
