We are coming to WDW to celebrate daughter (18) grad HS, son (16) earning Eagle Scout & twin sons (5) grad Pre-K. We are staying at the Ft Wilderness Cabins & will be with my in-laws. Any suggestions for 1 activity for the whole family

    Karin:

WOW!  You've got a lot to celebrate!

When our family of 19 stayed at Fort Wilderness last year, we did the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and loved it.  I have to say I was nervous because we had kids from age 3 to 12, newlyweds and grandparents all in the mix.  But of all the dinner shows at Disney, I thought it appealed to our mixed group the best!

The food was finger-licking (literally) and the entertainment a hoot.  We chose to save it as a final night celebration, and I'd recommend that if you can pull it off.  Also, if I had to do it again, I would do what I could to to book one of the earlier seatings, as our 9:30 seating was just too late.  However, if that's all you can book, consider eating a late lunch, going to Animal Kingdom that day (a park that closes early) and then taking a nap so you can enjoy the evenng.

If you want to do something away from the fort, I'd recommend one of Disney's fireworks cruises.  Talk about memorable!  They offer several at different price ranges.  Just call 407-939-7529.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
