We will be coming to WDW in Aug with 5 kids ages 5, 7, 9, 13, 17 for 8 days. Any suggestions about where to stay with 7 people? We are planning to get a dining plan & looking at possibly Saratoga Springs or Caribbean Beach but could use some help decid

    Hello, Heather!

Traveling to Walt Disney World with a big group, especially kids, is so much fun!

I'll start off with suggestions for Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, since that is one of my Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts. We've stayed in two types of villas, both of which will accommodate your party of 7. A two-bedroom villa sleeps 8, includes a full kitchen, an in-room washer and dryer and two bathrooms. A Treehouse Villa, which is generally more spacious and unique (but an additional bus ride away from everything) sleeps nine, and also has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, as well as an in-room washer and dryer. This villa, however, has three bedrooms, as well as a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair in the main living area. The main pool boasts a beautiful water slide and a small water-play area for the little ones.

At Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you'll need two rooms to accommodate a party of seven. This resort has a fantastic main pool with two slides and water cannons the kids will love. Both resorts feature whirlpool hot tubs and additional pools located throughout the resorts, and both main pools feature "Movies Under the Stars," (weather permitting) which is a real favorite of ours.

One thing to consider, too, about the type of room you select is if having a full kitchen will help. For us, this is the perfect accompaniment to the Dining Plan, because we eat just about every breakfast in our villa. Each person can start his or her day well-fed as other members take a little more time to get ready to go. Not only can you ship packages from home, you can also pick up groceries to keep in your room for any moments when someone needs a little snack, but your group is just not ready to head out yet.

Hope this helps! As you narrow down your choices, please send more questions! I'd love to help you choose the best place to call home during your upcoming WDW vacation!
