Coming to Walt Disney, family of 4. Children are 12 and 17 yr old. Booked room, flights and opted for meal plan with 1 quick service, 1 table & 2 snacks. Feeling overwhelmed as what/how to make reservations for meals & rides.

    Hi Jayne,

It sounds like you are off to a good start planning your Walt Disney World vacation. You have your resort hotel, your flights, and you have purchased a Disney Dining Plan. Let me tell you what I suggest you do next.

If you are within 180 days off your check-in date, I suggest that you start looking at Walt Disney World restaurants at which to make reservations. Your dining plan will cover one table service meal per day, and that is about what I like to make in reservations. This way, I know that once per day, my family will get to sit down for an hour or two, take a break, and enjoy a nice meal. We are big fans of late lunch or early dinner in a theme park. We also sometimes like to have a table service meal at night at a resort hotel, after we have gone back to our resort hotel and freshened up a bit. For Disney Dining, you can either use the restaurant website to make reservations, or you can call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Because you have a Disney Dining Plan, I assume that you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel. This means that you will be able to make Disney FastPass+ selections 60 days ahead of your check-in date. The Disney FastPass+ system will allow you to experience some attractions each day with shortened wait times. You can make these using your My Disney Experience account. You must have Disney theme park tickets linked in this account to make your Disney FastPass+ selections.

I would love to help you plan more Jayne; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
