My 3 yo and me, coming sometime in 2014, will bring my own umbrella stroller, staying on property and dining plan. What tips, tricks, advice for traveling alone with a 3 year old, navigating buses, things to do, any insight appreciated!

    Hi Denise,

Three year olds are so much fun! I love the curiosity that they have at that age.

You definitely need a stroller at this age because the parks are big and your little one's legs are little. An umbrella stroller is a great option if you are traveling solo because you can manage it and your child on the bus.

I definitely recommend a back pack to help keep your hands free. You can also use it to store snacks, drinks, a camera and other supplies for your day in the park. I also recommend just a purchase a base Magic Your Way ticket. Spend one day in each park and enjoy the magic of it.

Also, think about your resort. The deluxe resorts are close to the parks and you can either walk to a park or take a boat or monorail. This would help you eliminate the bus on a few days. You might be able to afford the least expensive room at one of these resorts by shortening your trip by a day or going during a slower time of the year.

Every park has something for a three year old. It really is finding what she likes. My daughters loved Epcot at this age. I recommend you visit it prior to Magic Kingdom because your daughter might not like it as much after Magic Kingdom with all it's pixie dust.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
