We're coming in Sept, staying at Pop Century. Which section of the hotel is considered premium and which ones are standard. If we were to make a request on our room, which sections will get us closest to the lobby/food court without paying a premium fee?

    Hi Chad,

What separates the preferred and standard rooms at Disney's Pop Century is their distance from Classic Hall, the Everything Pop Food Court, and the resort bus stops.  Preferred rooms are within 500 feet of  Classic Hall.  Standard rooms are further away.  In order to minimize steps between your standard room and Classic Hall, request a room in either the '50s, '60s, or 70's buildings.  As an added bonus, I've heard that some of these standard rooms have gorgeous view of Hourglass Lake.  If you're looking to be close to Classic Hall, the '80s and '90s buildings are the ones you want to avoid.  I stayed in one of the standard rooms there in May.  I enjoyed the experience but I don't typically mind long walks to the bus stop.  Walking around the Disney resorts is part of the fun for me, but I wouldn't recommend this area for folks who wish to be closer to the resort's main building.

Have a blast in September!  If there's anything else you'd like to know about Disney's Pop Century Resort, just ask.
