We will be coming for our second visit(my will be three year old's first visit) April 6, 2015 (Easter and the week following).I hear this will be a very busy time at the parks.Might the crowds lessen later in the week. Tips to stay sane with the crowds?

    Hi Amy ~

Planning a 2nd trip to Disney World is just as exciting as a 1st trip. While I don't have a crystal ball, typically the week before and after Easter are pretty crowded as it is usually during a lot of schools' spring breaks. You may see crowd levels start to drop the weekend afterwards.

Here are some other tips that I think would help you before and during your trip:

    • Use the Disney Parks Moms Panel - we'll be here to help you with all of your planning questions.
    • Stay at a Disney Resort Hotel and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to ensure you get what you want. This will also give you access to Extra Magic Hours that are only available to Guests staying at a WDW Resort.
    • If you're staying on property and purchase your tickets in advance, you can take advantage of Disney's complimentary FastPass+ (FP+) service and make your FP+ selections prior to your trip.
    • Make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs). These can be made be made up to 180 days prior to your trip. You can make reservations through the link above or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
    • Select your 3 "must dos" in the parks you're visiting and do those first.
    • Unless you have ADRs, plan to eat lunch and dinner earlier than usual. This will help you avoid some of the crowds.
    • Bring your own water and snacks to avoid waiting in line for them.
    • Take something to keep your 3 year old entertained in line. Here are some other tips for traveling with toddlers.
    • Plan a pool day to take a break from the parks.
    • Plan non-park activities too. There are great things outside of the parks.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
