    Mary margaret Asked

We are coming to POR in Feb with our 2 kids (ages 2 and 4). and trying to decide between a preferred room (only in Alligator Bayou right?) and a river view or princess room (only in Magnolia Bend right?). Any advice on one section over the other? Thanks!

That's a tough question, Mary Margaret.  Having recently toured the Royal Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside, I can tell you that your young children would likely love the details of those rooms, especially the fun headboards.  That said, those rooms are located further from the hub of the resort (the food court, lobby and main pool).  There is, however, a conveniently located bus stop.  If it were me, I would consider how often I might need to visit the resort hub with the children.  If you plan to do most of your dining in the theme park, for instance, then you might not find yourself needing to walk to the lobby area all that often.  In that case, the Royal Rooms might be a perfect home away from home for your family.  If, on the other hand, you plan to dine daily in the food court, you might decide that the proximity to that area of the resort is worth sacrificing the themed room.  If it helps at all in your decision making, I will let you know that the Royal Rooms are within about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the food court area.  Good luck with your decision!
