Hello! I will be coming out to Orlando and doing Mickeys Very Merry with a 2, 3, & 4 year old. We are also going to see ICE! and doing a character breakfast...my question is what other non-park activities are there to do with a group that young?

    Hi Heather,

That group does look a bit tiring, but no worries there are still plenty of things to do with kids if you are taking time from the parks.

Personally our family loves visiting the miniature golf courses at Disney World. Fantasia Gardens is located near the Dolphin and Swan resorts and may be a bit hard for the little ones. However, Winter Summerland Courses located next to Blizzard Beach, is a great time and the holes are much easier with cute Santa/winter/summer themes. We have been golfing there since our boys were quite little and they have always loved it.

Another great place to visit is the Boardwalk Resort, especially after 6pm. There are plenty of little shops and restaurants and places to sit and watch the boats and you can even catch a portion of Illuminations from the bridge at the end of the boardwalk. In the evenings, weather permitting, there is free family entertainment including comedians, magicians and jugglers. Very cute and funny for all ages.

Downtown Disney offers plenty of places to walk and sight see at, as well as a carousel and train for a small fee. There is a large Lego store with an attached play area where the kids can build whatever their imagination decides. Nearby is the T-Rex restaraunt. My boys love looking at the huge animatronic dinosaurs, although beware they may be alarming to some children.

Don't forget to look into all the great activities at your own resort. Each afternoon, most Disney resorts offer pool side games and activities and many of the resorts have community hall locations with games or arcades, crafts and more. Ask your concierge for a complete list.

Wishing you all an amazing time!
