    Mary from PA Asked

coming in oct. for 1st visit. My husband is handicapped will be bringing own scooter. My? is can the scooter go on the monorail or any other transportation. Thanks in advance for help

Hi Mary!  Disney is very efficient when it comes to transportation - especially for guests who require extra assistance.  Your husband will be able to get on the monorail without a problem.  A monorail pilot will set up a small ramp for him to drive up into the monorail and they will set it up again when he is ready to depart.

Similarly, he'll also have no problems riding a bus.  Again, there are ramps available at the rear door that will assist your husband in boarding/exiting the bus.

He will also be able to board many (but not all) of the boats with the scooter, however, please speak with a cast member at your resort if that is an option for you.  There are times that due to low water levels, they may not be able to accept scooters at certain times.

Since this is your first visit, you may also want to review the Guest with Disabilities page for more helpful tips and information.  Diane
