We will be coming in November 2015 with our daughter who will be 11 and our son who will be 8. We will having the dining plan with a table service and quick service meal per day. What are the top character dining/regular dining experiences for those ages?

Hi Stacey and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! November is a great time to visit the Resort and I think you made a great choice adding the Disney Dining Plan for your family. There are over 100 great dining locations awaiting you.

Let's start with Character Dining. My family's absolute all time favorite is Chef Mickey's.  Located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can hang out with Mickey and the gang while enjoying an all-you-care-to-eat buffet at either breakfast or dinner. A close second for us is The Crystal Palace located in the heart of the Magic Kingdom Park. There you will find Winnie the Pooh and his pals waiting for hugs and autographs. While this location offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, our preference is to book a pre-park opening reservation. This provides the awesome experience of walking down Main Street, U.S.A. with very few other guests.

As far as regular dining experiences, Disney's Hollywood Studios' 50's Primetime Time Café is a must-do for us every visit. Classic comfort food favorites combined with light-hearted "aunts and uncles" reminding you to mind your manners makes for a memorable dining experience.

These are just a few of our favorites.  If you have more questions come on back and see me!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
