We are coming in from NC for Christmas. What to expect weather wise? Children's ages from 8,10,16,17,21 and 2 adults.

    Hi there,Nichelle!

Thanks so much for checking in.

Weather at Christmastime in Central Florida can be tricky. sometimes, to predict.

It's not generally the rainy season, so you can anticipate wonderfully clear days. However, the temperatures can range from highs in the 60s to highs in the 80s!

Historically, the highs have been in the low 70s, although the record high reported in Lake Buena Vista was a stunning 88 degrees in 1964! And the lows tend to be in the 50s, although it is not uncommon to have lows in the mid-60s.

Plan for layers. That's your best defense. This way, if the days warm up, you can opt out of wearing that cute jacket, but in the evening, you can pull it out of your day bag and pop it over your shirt.

My recommendation is to be on top of the weather about a week before you head out. Again, plan for easy layers: long-sleeved cotton shirts and sweaters/sweatshirts are great. You'll likely not need to bring your super cold-weather gear, but you certainly won't need to equip yourself with anything new or special; you're coming from an area that is by rights colder during the winter than is Florida.

Enjoy every moment of the holidays at Walt Disney World!

    See you later, celebrator,
