We are coming in mid-July with 10 people (Grandparents, 2 Moms, 2 Dads and 4 kids (girls 9 & 7 and 2 boys age 4). The grandparents have given our families a trip to Disney as gift! Would you suggest Wishes cruise or Pirates & pals as a special ni

Hi, Jana!  This sounds like an awesome vacation!  I love traveling with extended family, and I know I have some of my best memories of Walt Disney World with the grandparents!

I love the Wishes cruise, and you would have the boat to yourself.  The Premium Wishes cruise can accommodate a party of 10 for about $350, which includes the boat and a captain (I guess that part should be obvious!), bagged snacks, sodas and water.  The cruise has audio feed of the music, and if you wanted to do something extra special, you can have private dining (which is basically room service) supply additional food or beverages.

But, with children the ages of the little ones you're bringing, I can't recommend highly enough the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  I have done this twice with my kids, and we all absolutely love it!  The evening begins with snacks and drinks at the Contemporary, and a little schmoozing with some of your favorite pirates.  When it's time to board your "cruise", you'll be escorted by the able bodied Patch, who will become your pirate best friend in no time.  The cruise usually takes you out so you can see the Electric Water Pageant, and then on to the perfect spot to enjoy Wishes.  There's singing and story telling, and it's just a good time.  The trip back typically ends with the story of Peter Pan, and you usually have a special surprise waiting for you when you arrive back to dock.

You can't go wrong with either trip, but with children, I really love the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage!

    Have a great trip!
