Coming in mid May for a girls trip. Have a FP for Lion King @9:30am and was wondering if we could do safari before. How long does safari take if you go straight back after the park opens?

    Dear Lee,

Thank you so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great planning question for your upcoming visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom!

It sounds like you have a fantastic morning planned! I don't recommend attempting to go to Kilimanjaro Safaris before your Festival of the Lion King FastPass+ selection, because you will be able to start going into the show venue pretty much right away. They close the doors precisely before the show begins and I would hate for you to miss your show. In fact, if you can get a FastPass+ selection for Kilimanjaro Safaris instead, I would recommend that as an alternative. You don't really need a FastPass for Festival of the Lion King.

Either way that you decide to do things, you will have a fantastic time!
