Coming in May with dd5 and dgd5. I am thinking stroller for parks but how do I fly with it? Put it under the plane or carry on? 2 single seats or a double? Would like to avoid park strollers as I would rather put money into some other things there.

Hi, James!  With two 5-year olds, bringing a stroller is a good idea.  A lot of walking is involved with a Disney vacation!

I recommend one double stroller vs. 2 single strollers.   It will be one less thing to keep track of.  You will be happy to have only one, especially when you park your stroller in one of the parks.  It is enough trying to find one, who wants to search among the sea of strollers for 2!

As far as flying with the stroller, when I used to travel with one for my kids, we would gate check it.  We would leave it right at the door of the airplane, the airline staff would stow it under the plane during flight, and it was waiting for us on the jet way as we deplaned.  This way, you can put your girls right in the stroller at the airport so you know exactly where they are!  You might want to check with your particular airline for their gate check procedures.

If you do decide to rent a stroller at the parks, the daily rental cost for a double stroller is $31 (price subject to change.)

    Have a great vacation!
