We are coming to the Magic Kingdom and wanted recommendations on the best use of fast passes for ages 3.5 and 5 year olds. Thanks!

    Hi Andrea,

I am glad that you are considering the best way to use your Disney FastPass+ selections for your visit to Walt Disney World. Having a Disney FastPass+ selection for an attraction will allow you to experience that attraction with a reduced wait time. A recommendation that I make for all guests, regardless of age, is to make your Disney FastPass+ selection for times early in the day. You will be able to make up to three Disney FastPass+ selections from home before your vacation. Once you have used all three of these selections, you will be able to make another selection either from your phone using the My Disney Experience mobile app, or from a kiosk in the park. Once you have used that next Disney FastPass+ selection, you can make another and then another, based on availability, throughout the day. Using the first three early in the morning maximizes how many more you can choose throughout the day!

For recommendations at Magic Kingdom based on the ages of your children, I suggest using a Disney's FastPass+ selection for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, if your children are both tall enough and interested in this ride. There is a Disney Parks Blog post with a great chart of required heights for Magic Kingdom attractions that I suggest you check out. Again if their heights allow and they are interested, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is another good selection. Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant are also good choices. If you are considering meeting any characters, I do recommend using Disney's FastPass+ selections for those experiences.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, Andrea!
