We are coming for our first trip this June, w/two boys, 5 & 9. We are staying 5 nights at CSR and have the base 4 tickets, no hopper. What's the best way to divide our trip? I am worried one day at MK will leave us wanting more! Resort time wanted too.

Hi Angie, thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see your concern about dividing the parks with no Park Hopper. I always plan at least two full days at The Magic Kingdom, and sometimes in the evening on other park days we still find ourselves back to watch the Wishes nighttime spectacular. If you think that one day at The Magic Kingdom is not enough, then you should plan on being there for two days. The other two days can be spent at other parks. Yes this means that you won't get to visit one of the parks, but I fully support your extra day at The Magic Kingdom. I would look at the calendar and see which days during your stay that Extra Magic Hours are available and plan your parks around that.

If you want to spend some time at your resort, I have found that an afternoon break for pool time or even a nap is a great way to beat the summer heat and crowds. Your ticket for the park has in and out privileges so you can return to the park after your afternoon break if you wish.

If you have any more questions please feel free to stop by and we'd be happy to help. Have a magical first Walt Disney World vacation!
