We are coming in February 2017 and staying at Port Orleans-French Quarter. The kids want to do the Pirate Adventure Cruise leaving from Riverside. What is the best way to get from FQ to R on a Sunday morning?

    Hi Karen,

Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are sister resorts, located side-by-side on the Sassagoula River. You will be able to stroll on a wide sidewalk from your resort to Riverside in just 10 to 15 minutes.

When we stay at Riverside, we often walk over to the French Quarter for a hot beignet at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Or, if we're at the French Quarter, we'll walk to Riverside to eat at Boatwright's Dining Hall or get a drink at River Roost, home of the Yehaa Bob show.

It's an easy, well-marked route, but I'd allow 30 minutes just to be sure you don't feel rushed finding the Fishing Hole on Ol' Man Island, where the young pirates gather to begin their adventure.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope your kids have a swashbuckling time on the Bayou Pirate Adventure Cruise!
