We are coming end of April for 11 days for our 1st Disney World visit! We were looking at Caribbean beach or French Quarter but wondering if 1 was better for our girls of 7 and 3? Walking and transport etc Also is it worth upgrading to dining plan? Than

    Hi Emma,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Eleven days? How cool! I see that you have plenty of time to plan everything ahead for this trip to be unforgettable for the whole family.  At the Disney Parks Moms Panel website, that are many previous questions answered by a variety of moms that contain many tips for the first time travelers. Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter isn’t a great option for your girls. Consider Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or Disney’s Pop Century Resort.  If you can afford to stay at a preferred room, that would be great, because those rooms are located on the building (Usually 1 or 9) that are closer to the main building and the bus stop and pools. You can read about it and see the maps of the hotels at a great website, that I use a lot, called Touring Plans. You should study all the amenities that each one offers to see what’s the best for your family. You can even call your hotel and ask to stay on a specific building. Although they will say to you that isn’t guarantee, I’m sure that the hotel Cast Member will do his best to accommodate your needs. In addition, I think you should upgrade your meal plan too, that will allow you to a variety of restaurants, including character meals. Speaking about character meals, you should definitely have a breakfast with the princess at Akhershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot, it’s my favorite! Remember that table service restaurants required reservations and they can be made with 180 days in advance. Use all the information that web can offer to you such as  Disney Parks Blog, You Tube videos and more to familiarized yourself with WDW.

    Have a magical day!
