Hi Moms!!! We are coming to DW in May 2015. We were just there in April, 2014 so I want to make sure that we will receive new magic bands. How do I ensure new tickets will be linked to the new bands, not the old ones? Does this happen automatically? THX

Hello, Adriana! Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your MagicBand question. Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels do currently receive a new MagicBand for each vacation, so make sure to customize your new MagicBands when you are able.

All active MagicBands that are assigned to you will allow you to access any of the benefits or entitlements that you have on your Disney account, including theme park tickets, FastPass+ selections, and more. If you want to bring along your older MagicBands, you should be able to use them on your vacation, too. One benefit to using multiple MagicBands is that you can color-coordinate them with your outfits.

It is not necessary to deactivate your older MagicBand(s), but you can do this by logging in to your Disney account. You will be able to deactivate any or all of your previous MagicBands in the MagicBand section of your My Disney Experience profile.

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful springtime visit to Walt Disney World, Adriana! If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Happy planning!
