We are coming to DW the first week of April 2013. We want to book it and pay off the rooms and then purchase the theme park tickets later. Can we book the room only? Is there any benefit to purchasing our tickets at the same time as our room? Thanks.

    Hi Todd!

April is a wonderful time to visit the Disney Parks.  The weather is lovely and the crowds are pretty manageable, as spring break is slowly nearing to an end.  You'll be able to enjoy the attractions without long waits, and without extreme heat.

If you've booked a room only reservation, you can choose to pay it in full prior to your stay, or you can pay the remainder of the balance upon check-in.  Should you choose to book a room only stay, you would need to purchase your tickets separately.  You can do so on the Walt Disney World website, and have them waiting for you at Will Call.  If you opt to add tickets to your room reservation, you would be required to pay the balance 45 days prior to your stay.  If you opt to keep a room only reservation, you would need to purchase your tickets at the theme parks. The pricing for tickets does not change, be it in a package or separate.  The one think I enjoy about having a package is that everything is on one card:  Tickets, room key, dining plan (if added), and credit card.  With a room only ressie, you would have separate cards for each

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
