We will be coming to DW April 12-18 to watch our son and his HS band perform. What type crowds can I expect to encounter during that time and what is the weather normally like?

    Tonya:

Crowds at Disney build starting in late-February and crescendo during the week between Palm Sunday and Easter, typically a large Spring Break week. Essentially, when school is out, families vacation, and they head to Disney.  Easter in 2016 will be March 27, two weeks before your trip. Crowds should begin to subside by the time you arrive and my favorite crowd-forecasting website www.touringplans.com agrees.

You'll find the weather comfortable for shorts during the day and most nights but bring a light jacket and jeans in case the temperature dips. You'll want to check your weather forecast also for rain, so pack a poncho before you go and you'll save money and time if you need it.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
