Coming to DW April 7-13 and trying to figure out how to see everything (parades, night shows, etc) while still giving the kids (2,4,6) a break to swim at the hotel. Are there any parades that are must-see? Any we might skip? (Have dinner res. @6pm. too)

I think trying to see everything is a big mistake.  The only thing that guarantees is tears and frustration.

However, you can still see many things at Disney and not feel rushed. I think going back to the hotel in the afternoon is a great idea.  Disney can be overwhelming for your children and to give them down time is smart.

I am not  a big fan of the evening parades at the Magic Kingdom yet I love the fireworks there (my personal favorite;))  I do love the afternoon parade.  I have not seen the new parade at the Hollywood Studios but the old parade was my favorite so I am hoping they improved on it.  Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios is unique but can be scary to your little ones though mine were fine at that age and one is a chicken:) EPCOT's Illuminations is a family favorite.

Dinner at six is a smart move.  You can all take break and figure out where to go next. If you are all tired, go back to your hotel and start fresh the next day.

I would also ask your six and four year what they would like to see.  This way they control a part of their trip and it is fun to see their eyes light up when they get to their "part".

    Have a magical vacation!
