We are coming to DW in April. My son is in a wheelchair. Any ideas on accessible transportation from Orlando airport to our resort. We are staying at the BoardWalk Villas.

    Hi Kelly,

    Congratulations on your upcoming trip!

I think I have a good option for you (and it won't cost a dime!)  Disney's Magical Express can accommodate a wheelchair.  You just need to specifically request your need for wheelchair access when you make your Magical Express reservation, so they can be sure to have an appropriate coach available to transport you to the Boardwalk.  You can make an online reservation for Magical Express by clicking HERE.  I would also recommend following up with a phone call to confirm your son's special needs, by calling Disney's Magical Express at 866-599-0951.

Once you arrive, and head to the parks, I recommend visiting Guest Relations at the park you stop at first.  (At Magic Kingdom, Guest Relations is located inside City Hall, which is on your left as you enter.)  There, your "pirate-in-training" can receive a Guest Assistance Card that will enable him to access attractions via an alternate, accessible entrance.  While this won't eliminate all waits, it should greatly reduce them, and facilitate an easier trip.

I hope you and your family have a magical vacation!
