Coming 12/06-12/09/2013, dvc members but are having to stay at three different resorts, new resort each night. There were not available rooms back to back. Do you think this is to much moving for a large family should we consider cash purchases for rooms?

Howdy Sylvia! I love experiencing all that the Disney Vacation Club Resorts have to offer!

The above being said, if you are willing and able to cut down on moves and use cash for one or two nights, you might consider doing so.

Disney does make the transfer from resort to resort easy but if you will have any Disney Dining Plans, you may have to check-in at each Resort before you can use your dining plan entitlements. Plus - if you use Disney to transport your luggage, you will need to ensure you have everything with you that you will need until late afternoon when you will have access to your luggage.

If you will be moving your items yourself, you will always have access to everything but you will also have to keep up with your luggage throughout the day.

It sounds like a fun adventure but with a large family, I'm concerned that you may miss out on theme park time as you move from location to location.

I'm sure you have already done this, but are you wait listed for any of the nights?

We had a similar situation a few years ago. I don't know how many people you have in your family but we had 6 Guests at the time. We used cash to pay for our Villa to avoid multiple moves. Our Guests ranged in ages from 3 to 68. It was the best decision for us at the time.

I do think you would have a great time moving from resort to resort but I would encourage you to think about your plans and determine what would be best for you for this vacation. If a split stay would enhance your stay, go for it! If, however, you feel due to your party size and length of stay that you would be better off paying cash as needed, then I would advise you to go that route. Regardless of what you decide to do, I know you will have a magical time!!

I would love to know what you decide!

Thanks so much for your question and have a magical day!!
