Coming down for a quick, last minute trip. We will be renting a car. Is Magic Kingdom the one resort I want to take the bus to? If so, can I park at Ticket and Transportation and walk to the Polynesian and grab the monorail? Staying at a Value Resort.

    Hi Beth!

Last-minute trips to Walt Disney World are sometimes the best kind! So full of excitement because of the spontaneity of it all! Congratulations!

Personally, I'd prefer to take the bus to Magic Kingdom. Between parking in the Transportation and Ticket Center, waiting for the Tram to get to the front of the lot, waiting for your ferry and then crossing the Seven Seas Lagoon, disembarking ... it can end up being a fairly long process! It's certainly a fun and exciting process regardless but it sounds to me like you'd like a more expedient way to jump right into the magic? By taking the bus from your Value Resort, you'll likely save yourself about 20 minutes of time which equals more fun in Magic Kingdom to experience such great new attractions as Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and the new areas of the Fantasyland expansion which have begun opening already!

Another alternative, indeed would be to park at the TTC and take the tram, but then walk the short distance to the Polynesian and board the Resort Monorail there, away from the morning crowds of the Transportation and Ticket Center monorail station or ferry. I'm all about any excuse to venture into the Polynesian's tropical grounds. Be sure to grab yourself a Kappuccino from Kona Island Coffee Bar on your way through the Great Ceremonial House up to the monorail!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question. I hope to hear from you again soon!

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your last minute trip to Walt Disney World Beth!
