We are coming to Disney World in 2 weeks time to celebrate our son Thomas' 3rd birthday. He is Lightning McQueen (cars/cars 2) crazy. Please could anyone recommend any attractions/parades/entertainment or photo opportunities to make his birthday memorable

    Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! We're glad you're hEAR!  Planning a birthday celebration at Disney World is very exciting. Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son at Guest Relations.

Sounds like you've got a "Cars" fan in your family. You can find Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Lightning McQueen is now appearing in person in the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.   Tow Mater makes an "appearance" on the video screen.

Your boys can also pose for pictures with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater at Team McQueen Headquarters near Streets of America and Muppet*Vision 3-D.

Be sure to pick up a Times Guide available at the entrance of the park, Guest Relations and most merchandise locations to confirm appearance times and performance schedules on the date of your visit.

You'll also find lots of Cars related souvenEARs throughout the parks and Downtown Disney.

Click here for some other suggestions for a 3 year old.  If he likes pirates, check out The Pirates League at the Magic Kingdom. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. If you have any Advanced Dining Reservations, make sure you told them you'll be celebrating a 3rd birthday.

I'm limited in space but if you need additional information, please let us know. We love assisting Guests like you plan your trips.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
